QuickTrace is a tracing system specially designed for GP practices which also supports records staff with general management of records. In addition it provides useful features such as printing of labels for specimens and request forms for labs which are of value directly to other members of staff.
The system utilises labels with the file ID in bar code form - either simple sticky labels or alternatively colour coded tabs which also help with locating misfiles. In either case, swiping the notes each time they are moved allows busy practices to stay on top of the problem of missing notes.
QuickTrace runs on your existing PCs and can be used with a single standalone PC or run over networked PCs. The networked set up allows internal email reminders to be sent to colleagues who are holding files which are overdue for return.
